So, I just tried a different test case and I still see something strange for bulk adds.

I used the test-cases-performance.d/general.performance.bulk_add script and set the number of zones to 500 and repeats to 8. So this means it starts off by doing a ‘zonelist import’ into a clean system of a zonelist with zones txt1 to txt500 (in order) and this is what I see in the log:
